The Board

Wirral Partnership Homes is run by a voluntary Board of Directors. They make a real difference to the homes and lives of people in Wirral. The board consists of our elected tenant directors, five council nominated directors and five independent directors. This mix balances the interests of everyone involved.

Independent Board Directors

Maggie Sparks 1. Maggie Sparks (Interim Chair)
Formerly the Chief Executive of Family Housing Association and is a National Council Member of the National Housing Federation. Vice chair of WPH housing services.
Carolyn Baker 2. Carolyn Baker
Runs her own employment and training consultancy and is a non-executive Director and Vice Chair of the Board of a not-for-profit insurance company.
Ged Pearson 3. Ged Pearson
Director of Housing Services and Deputy Chief Executive of a large housing provider in Greater Manchester. He is committed to ensuring tenants and residents are at the heart of decisions that affect their homes.
4. Rachel Chudley
Assistant Director for Housing at a housing association in Crewe. She has a particular interest in tenancy sustainment, homelessness, and reducing evictions.
5. Angela Green
Angela has been involved with community activities for many years and is Chair of Wirral Outdoor Education Association.  She has been employed in the voluntary sector for over 17 years and is currently Chief Officer of Wirral Council for Voluntary Service. 
Angela is particularly interested in supporting people to achieve their full potential, to fully engage with their community and have the opportunity to live in safe secure affordable accommodation so necessary as the starting point for their own development and a stable lifestyle.

Tenant Board Directors

June Foster 1. June Foster
Chair of the Mount Estate Tenants' and Residents' Association. She is also a co-opted member of the Council's Housing and Community Safety Select Committee.
Mal Brewer 2. Mal Brewer
Mal has an open mind and feels that he can help Wirral Partnership Homes to make things better for local communities. He is a member of the "Your Home in Your Hands" Steering Group and has worked on the review of Sheltered Housing and the Repairs Sub-Group.
Mike Harper 3. Michael Harper
Michael was born in Tranmere and now lives in Pensby. Michael has been involved in a number of residents' committees, setting up clubs to get people more involved. Michael has enjoyed helping people take a pride in their community and welcomes the opportunity to further the aims of WPH.
4. Annette Campbell
Annette is involved in a Community Group based at a local primary school promoting education for adults and has completed a counseling skills course. Annette is keen to make a difference for WPH tenants and feels she would add value to the Board with a younger person's perspective. 
5. Jean McIntosh
Jean is involved in many activities in her local community and has a lot of involvement with residents, consultation exercises and focus groups and feels her community experience would give a positive insight to what residents want. Jean said 'WPH is improving each year and I would like to be part of the bigger picture helping to shape an organisation that will be at the forefront of social landlords'.

Council Nominated Board Directors

Bill Duffey 1. Councillor Bill Duffey
As well as serving on a number of Council committees, Bill is an active committee member of Vale House Community Centre.
Tom Harney 2. Councillor Tom Harney
Main interests as a councillor are in education and pensions. Chair of Governors of The Lyndale School in Eastham, a member of the governors of Wirral Girls' Grammar School and chair of the New Solar School.
Karen Hayes 3. Councillor Karen Hayes 
Member of the Children and Lifelong Learning Services Committee. Also a member of the Standards Committee and Governor of Weatherhead High School.
4. Councillor Denise Roberts
Denise is a volunteer for the CAB. Chair of Bidston and Claughton Area Forum. Her committees include, Social Care, Health and Inclusion. She is also Govenor of Birkenhead Sixth Form College, Bidston Avenue and Cole Street Schools.
5. Councillor Jim Crabtree
Jim was former Chair of Crossways Tenants Association he also serves on Planning and Corporate Services Committees. Jim is also President of Birkenhead Lions. He is employed by The Vocational College delivering Horticultural training to Merseyside’s youth.

Independent Board Directors (Building Services)
Building Services Board is chaired by Barry Natton who also serves on the main Board for WPH. There are currently no other independent board directors.

Co-optee

Mohammed Pirani 1. Mohammed Pirani
Spent time in South Africa where he was a volunteer on a Community Housing Project. He previously worked in personnel management.
