The Your Wirral fund is a source of funding for proposals that fits the specific criteria listed in these notes. The fund is available for voluntary and community organisations which operate in Wirral.
The fund has total grants available up to £500,000 per year. Organisations may apply for grants up to £5,000 in any 12 month period. You will not normally receive any more than £5,000 per year.
There are seven themes which Your Wirral fund will support. They are:
1. Creating an attractive and safe environment;
2. Contributing to community economic regeneration;
3. Preventing crime or reducing the fear of crime;
4. Providing employment and training for local people;
5. Benefiting local people who face discrimination;
6. Improving community facilities;
7. Engaging communities to improve quality of life.
Your Wirral closed to applications on 31st October 2008. Applications are currently being processed and organisations should hear whether they have been successful or not by 1st December 2008.
