A new patio and barbecue area for residents at Needham Crescent, Noctorum has been developed by Wirral Partnership Homes (WPH).

The garden improvements were funded through WPH’s Environmental Programme. Mary Lawless, resident at Needham Crescent who led the project said: “This really is brilliant… everyone involved has been so helpful, taken my ideas and made them real. The patio is fantastic, it’s got full wheelchair access and will help us communicate better, promote neighbourliness and build community spirit.”
WPH Chief Executive, Brian Simpson said: “Improvements to the local environment were highlighted as the top concern for our residents in Noctorum, as part of the Neighbourhood Plan. The garden patio and barbecue area at Needham Crescent is a superb example of our commitment to tackling the concerns of our residents and helping to build community spirit.”
The patio was officially opened by Frank Field MP who visited the garden with Cllr George Davies and Cllr Denise Roberts who is also a Board Director of WPH. Following Frank Field MP’s comment on the “wonder of the new garden”, Cllr George Davies said: “I am delighted that WPH continues to look after its elderly tenants…and am delighted for Mary and…the local community who really deserve this facility.”
