About Wirral Partnership Homes
| Our Mission is to be recognised as an excellent service provider, offering affordable homes that people want; and to be an employer of choice |
Who we are
With approximately 12,775 properties, Wirral Partnership Homes is the largest Registered Provider of affordable housing in Wirral. WPH is a socially responsible, not-for-profit organisation. Our work is more than simply bricks and mortar. We aim to work in partnership with residents and other organisations to build sustainable communities. WPH is led by a Board of Directors and an Executive Management Team.
WPH is celebrating its fifth anniversary!
WPH was formed in February 2005, when Wirral Council tenants voted to transfer properties to an independent, not for profit organisation to allow further investment and improvements for the future. This is known as a large scale voluntary transfer (LSVT). We made 89 promises to tenants at transfer, and have spent the last five years working on an ambitious improvement programme and investing in the community.
Our progress so far
In April 2008 the Audit Commission inspected us and awarded us 'One star with promising prospects for improvement.' Since then, we have been working hard to improvement. In May 2009 we arranged for an external company to conduct a mock inspection of all our services. We gained an excellent result, surpassing our 2008 achievement and were rated 'Two stars with promising prospects for improvement.' These are some of our recent achievements:
