Equality and Diversity
WPH is commited to providing affordable housing that is accessible to people regardless of age, disability, ethnicity and race, gender, transgender, religion and belief or sexual orientation.
We intend to achieve Equality of Opportunity by removing direct and indirect discrimination wherever it exists. Our equality and diversity policies cover: the people we employ and seek to employ, our customers and potential customers and our stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
In 2008 we developed an Equality Scheme that details our approach to equality and diveristy. There are three themes that drive our Equality Scheme:
- Being Inclusive – we want to be an ‘inclusive’ organisation and employer, and to reflect the community we serve
- Enabling Access – we want to ensure that all our customers and potential customers can access our services
- Involving All – we want to make sure that our communication and all our consultation activities are fully inclusive
