Routes to becoming a Board Director
Tenant Board Directors
Every year, WPH advertises Tenant Board Director Elections in newsletters sent to all residents. Any WPH tenant or leaseholder can put themselves forward for the ballot. Before the election, we brief all nominees and give them an idea of what the role of a Board Director is like. No special knowledge or experience is required - just enthusiasm and commitment to improving WPH’s services to its customers. The next elections will be in August 2010.
Independent Board Directors
WPH advertised annually in the local press and in trade specific publications to attract experienced and knowledgeable independent Board Directors from the Housing, Financial and Legal sectors.
Council Board Directors
Wirral Council nominates Council Board Directors to sit on the WPH Board. In September this year WPH ran a briefing session for all councillors to give a better idea of what our organisation is about.
