WPH Community Grants

The Roundabout Centre (£5000)
Continuation of the welfare benefits advice service was supported by a WPH Grant of £5000 in April 2009

Brackendale Residents Association Minibus Hire (£50)
The residents association was awarded £50 in May 2009 to assist with minibus hire, thus allowing older residents the opportunity to come together in various days out.

Mendell Close Residents (£149.97)
The purchase of a gazebo was approved for a community grant in June 2009 for use in various community events and summer meetings.

Meadows Residents Association (£942)
A grant of £942 was awarded to Meadow Residents Association to cover the cost of setting up a community newsletter including a computer and printing costs.

Yew Tree Healthy Eating Project (£959.43)
Yew Tree Healthy Eating Project was awarded £959.43 in November 2009 to assist in the purchase of kitchen equipment allowing the Yew Tree Centre to run healthy eating courses in partnership with Wirral Metropolitan Police.

Peninsular Angling Club (£870)
A grant for £870 for fishing licenses was awarded in February 2010 to the Peninsular Angling Club.  The fishing season began in April 2010 and we look forward to a few fish suppers in due course!

Brackendale Resident Association (£650)
Brackendale Resident Association was awarded £650 in February 2010 for the purpose of covering the cost of a tutor in setting up chair exercise classes for elderly residents.  This activity we now like to call Chairobics!
