Events
Here is some information about events that WPH has helped to fund, making a real difference to local communities.

Rock Ferry Resident Groups - via Cargill Grove LV (£850)
The group was awarded £850 for the hire of toilets for the Rock Ferry Community Festival. The event, which took place in summer 2009 was flushed with success.
Wirral Society for the Blind & Partially Sighted (£500)
WPH contributed £500 to the costs of an event to raise awareness of blind and partially sighted people which took place in summer 2009. About 400 people attended throughout the day, it was a great success.
Bidston Preservation Trust (£200)
A £200 contribution was made to the costs of the Bidston Heritage Event held on the field by Observatory (formerly Vyner) Primary School in summer 2009
Woodchurch Partnership (£950)
A 50% contribution was made to the costs of the Woodchurch Big Lunch - part funded with Woodchurch Neighbourhood Management. This event, intended to promote community cohesion, took place in July 2009 and was attended by about 400 people. Another 400 strong success!
Tate Triangle Residents Association (£140)
WPH sponsored the hire of a Samba Band for the Tate Triangle Residents Association Community Fun Day in July 2009.
Birches Community Cohesion Event (£75.80)
A barbecue to promote community Cohesion took place in September 2009. WPH promoted the event with a grant of £75.80.
Noctorum Halloween Disco (£480)
We were spooked when we were asked to fund the nocturnal…sorry.. Nocturnum Halloween Disco, so we got into the spirit of it with a grant of £480.
Involve Northwest Pensioners Party (£500)
Involve Northwest and TRAC organised a Pensioners Party for Christmas 2009 for about 80-90 residents of the Tranmere area. We contributed to the event with a grant of £500.
Hoose Court Lunch Club (£200)
Hoose Court Lunch Club enjoyed a Christmas Celebration towards the end of 2009. This event, for older residents, was awarded £200 to cover the cost of small gifts and an entertainer.
Mendell Close Residents (£60)
Out and about with Mendell Close Residents, WPH sponsored £60 travel costs to allow residents to go out for a Christmas meal together in December 2009.
New Ferry Road/The Dell Christmas lunch (£170)
Not everyone has family at the festive time of year. New Ferry Road/The Dell was turned into one big family in December 2009 with the aid of a £170 WPH grant to support their Christmas trip to the Adelphi which took place in December 2009.
Woodchurch Trust (£100)
Christmas and new years dinners for homeless and less fortunate persons was sponsored in November 2009. Two events took place, one on Boxing Day, the other on New Years Day. A good time was had by all.
Grenville Tenants' Association (£150)
A Christmas party intended to bring together residents of the Grenville Way area was funded for £150 towards the end of 2009. This covered food for the event and a few raffle prizes.
