Leaseholders
If you buy your flat, you buy the right to occupy part of a larger building. This type of ownership is called leasehold.
If you become a leaseholder, you need to be aware that WPH will continue to own the outside of the block and the indoor shared parts of the building. WPH is responsible for the maintenance of these areas.
WPH is entitled to a contribution from the owners of flats and maisonettes towards the costs of managing and maintaining the block. This contribution is called a Service Charge.
The legal requirements surrounding flats and leasehold property can sometimes be complicated. Our leasehold team is happy to help you understand any queries you may have, and the WPH Leaseholders' Association holds regular meetings to engage with us about any issues that you might be facing.
