Residents from high rise flats due for closure were the first to spot the potential of this Wallasey block on the site of the former Apollo Cinema.
Local Community
WPH negotiated the purchase of the brand new scheme direct from the local developer, a move that has provided 19 quality, modern homes for residents affected by closures of older blocks, and enabled neighbours to stay together.
£1 Million Grant Funding
WPH successfully secured £1 million grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency to purchase the Apollo for its residents. Click on the logo to the left to find out more about the HCA.

The development was supported by partners including Wirral Borough Council, Vicinity, the Homes and Communities Agency and the Tenant Services Authority.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Apollo Launch!
The scheme was officially opened by Angela Eagle MP on 6 August 2009. Ms Eagle said: "WPH residents deserve the very best and I am delighted that the Apollo Court development is such a popular and successful scheme.”
