Home Farm Road, Woodchurch

WPH unveiled 14 brand new houses and bungalows at Home Farm Road, Woodchurch, on Friday 11th December 2009. The new build properties were officially opened by Stephen Hesford MP.
The brand new properties have been built to some of the highest energy efficiency standards on Wirral. They have been designed to meet the requirements of the demanding ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ standards and have been fitted with solar panels, making them greener homes.
Merseyside Police awarded the development a ‘Secure by Design’ accreditation, meaning that an architect liaison officer helped design out the risk of opportunist thieves targeting these homes. The properties have also been awarded ‘Lifetime Homes Standards’, which means that the buildings have the flexibility to be adapted to meet the changing needs of residents living there.
WPH successfully bid for and secured grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency towards the building costs. The development was supported by partners including Bardsley Construction Ltd, Ainsley Gommon Architects, Tweeds, Wirral Borough Council, LHT and the Tenant Services Authority.
