Involving residents in WPH services
The pictures above were taken at WPH's 'You Decide' event in April 2010.
Our housing services team is upping the stakes at the moment, following the introduction of the Tenant Services Authority’s new standards last month.
The team took an innovative approach to involvement by organising a ‘speed dating’ style event, called You Decide. Residents and WPH staff were rotated to meet each other over a series of short ‘dates,’ chatting about things like preventing anti-social behaviour, customer service and the best ways to access services in the future.
Lorraine Anderson, Resident Involvement Manager, was charged with timing the sessions and moving groups along with a blow of the whistle!
Making choices - Your decisions on WPH’s future direction:
“Make sure all graffiti is removed quickly”
We will revise our service standards and work towards ensuring all graffiti is removed within five working days
“Don’t overcomplicate things”
We will use a variety of methods to keep you informed about progress - including visiting residents’ groups, producing newsletters and making better use of our website.
“Monitor CCTV from a central location”
WPH is carrying out a study and consultation exercise to find out the needs of specific areas.
Further updates will be added to the website as officers continue to work through the many comments made by residents on the day .
