Learning and Development
Wirral Partnership Homes has an excellent reputation for the delivery of learning and development to its employees. This is based on the ability of the organisation to understand the needs of its people, the diverse teams they work in and our ongoing ethos of continuous improvement and maximising the potential of our people.
All employees have the opportunity to access a broad range of opportunities to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge to be competent within their job role and the HR & Development Team are there to support staff on their learning journey.
To aid this learning all staff on joining the organisation go through a comprehensive Induction programme from joining their new team to undertaking the Corporate Induction to ensure they understand the Vision and Values of the organisation and how their individual role fits in to achieving these.
WPH has developed a three year Training Brochure which covers a broad range of courses from Customer Care, Management, Health & Safety, ICT and NVQ’s. You can download the brchure here:

WPH has in partnership with Designated Associates has developed a Cyber Centre where staff have the opportunity to develop their ICT skills in a well equipped IT Training Room and a drop in Centre, this has also been made available to our tenants free of charge to develop their ITC skill and gain valuable qualifications.
- 80 staff trained in Customer Service Level 2
- 40 staff trained in Customer Service Level 3
- 25 staff trained in Call Handling
- 15 Staff trained in
- 20 staff have completed ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
- 30 Staff are trained first Aiders
- 20 mangers have achieved ILM level 3
- 3 Tenant Board Members have achieved ILM Level 2
- 16 Senior Managers have achieved ILM Level 5
WPH has a commitment to work with local schools to enhance the development of young people through Mock Interviews, Enterprise Days, Work Experience and Community Projects.
This has been recognised publically by winning the “Wirral Star Employer Awards” in the “Work Experience” category.
WPH was also accredited with winning “The Regional Quality Award for Work Based Learning” Kite Mark.
In May 2009 WPH was recognised as an Investor in People (IiP).
