operation snow boundAs Wirral is caught in the coldest weather in over 28 years, many WPH customers have found it difficult, if not impossible, to leave their homes.  WPH organised a group of its Building Services staff to deliver food parcels to nearly 50 of WPH’s most vulnerable residents, who have little or no family support.  The parcels, filled with tea bags, milk, soup, cooked meats and even chocolate were well received, and staff also offered to clear the heavy snow from paths.

Mrs Garrett of Maryland Lane, Moreton called to say thank you for the surprise parcel and said how helpful the two men were who had called.

Brian Simpson, WPH Chief Executive, said, “We have operated with reduced staffing levels and I am amazed how many of our staff have managed to get into work in spite of the weather.  It shows how concerned WPH staff are for our customers that they did this and then managed to make these much needed deliveries.”
