WPH funds specialist bicycles for Merseyside Police

WPH has funded two specialist bicycles for Merseyside Police to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour on estates.  The bikes will be used in communities to prevent crime and promote projects, including diversionary activities.

Inspector Lucan-Pratt, Merseyside Police, said, “These bikes will prove invaluable in our fight against crime and will also be used to assist our engagement with the community. The public have told us that they like to see bobbies out on the beat and using bikes is another way of increasing our visibility, spending more time out where it matters. We are delighted that Wirral Partnership Homes have joined forces with us this way to assist the community we serve."

Presenting the new police cycles, Brian Simpson, Chief Executive of Wirral Partnership Homes, said, “We are always looking at ways we can improve the work we do with our partners at Merseyside Police and I am delighted these cycles will provide benefits to the whole community.”
